Cleveland Fruge'. ------------------------------- Cecil C. Cutrer, Judge, Fourteenth Judicial District, Division "B", was elected November 8, 1960. Prior appointive and elective office held was: City Attorney for the City of Lake Charles from July 1, 1957, to April 15, 1960. He resigned to run for Judge. Judge Cutrer graduated from Sulphur High School, and received his LL.B. degree in 1947 from Louisiana State University. Following high school he was employed in the oilfields of South Louisiana. He began this work as a rig helper in 1932 and, after holding the position of driller and tool pusher, specialized in the field of directional drilling. At the time of entering L.S.U. in 1944, he held the rating of directional engineer as an employee of Universal Oil Tool Company of Houston, Texas. He practiced law from July 1947 to September 1960. Judge Cutrer is the son of George William Cutrer and Essie Mae Aldredge Cutrer. His father and mother are deceased. He was born in Robeline, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, on October 15, 1915. The family has resided in Calcasieu Parish since 1925. The Judge is married to Lillieon Myrl Stone Cutrer, and their son is Dr. William Kent Cutrer, of Lake Charles, Louisiana. School and other organizational offices held by the Judge are: Lambda Chi Alpha, social fraternity; Phi Delta Phi, legal fraternity; Order of the Coif; member of the Board of Stewards for the First Methodist Church of Lake Charles and is also a Certified Lay Speaker for that church. Judge Cutrer's hobbies are fishing and hunting. * * *
