For thirty years Cameron Parish was home to four families of Slovaks, who all lived near to each other and operated in the small population. There is little doubt that they had at least to know each other about. We know that Grunik was in touch with Horecky for years. Where they were born was listed in two different ways. In 1910 by the old country name of Hungary, which ruled the Slovaks for a 1000 years. And than in the 20 & 30 census they listed Czechoslovakia as their country of origin. But in both cases they listed Slovak as their language. And their names are typical Slovak names.
