It was hay cutting time recently for Curley Vincent and Valian Theriot. 
They cut and baled 536 bales of good hay, a bit early, but they do have 
a start for the winter.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hebert and family, who have lived at Grand Chenier 
for two years, have moved to Lake Charles where Mr. Hebert is working.

Folks on the Chenier who are doing repair work and building are Mr. and 
Mrs. Julian East, Mrs. Euphemie Andrews East, and Elora Montie.

Alex R. Seay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Seay, Hackberry, was recently 
promoted to Army sergeant while serving with the 23rd Infantry Division 
near Duc Pho, Viet Nam.
