Completing the course were Burnell NUNEZ, Robert CONNER and Ashburn ROUX. Those presented plaques in appreciation for their services on the Cameron Parish Police Jury were Horace MHIRE, Grand Chenier, who served 32 years, and W. F. HENRY, Cameron, who served eight years. J. B. JONES, Jr. made the presentations. Three Boy Scouts from Cameron Troop 210, Terry DRONET, Kent BENOIT, and John RICE, spent two days at Camp Edgewood, June 3 and 4, to qualify for membership in the Order of the Arrow. The Cameron Parish Sheriff ’s Department is being represented at the annual Louisiana Juvenile Officers’ Association Workshop in Lafayette by Deputy Riley RICHARD. The 15th annual South Cameron High School commencement exercises were held in Tarpon Stadium last week. It was the largest class in South Cameron’s history The valedictory address was given by Pauline MILLER and the salutatory by Donna DUHON.
