The Rev. Jules Arceneaux will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Mrs. Achee, a native of Grand Chenier, was the daughter of Joseph Miller and the former Edna Theriot. She was a resident of Lafayette. Survivors include two daughters, Joretta A. Chance and husband John E. and Jacklyn Mary Hebert and husband Gerald, all of Lafayette; one son, Patrick “Buddy” Achee and wife Anna “Tazie” of Lafayette; 15 grandchildren; 48 greatgrandchildren; seven greatgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia “Patty” Arceneaux of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph G. Achee; and one grandson, John Edward Chance II. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. LCAP 03/28/2006 Zodas E. Alex, 90, died Friday, March 24, 2006. Zodas Edward Alex was a devoted family man who loved the outdoors and fishing. He was born March 21, 1916, in Big Lake to Alexson Alex and Mary Roach Alex. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His early education was interrupted by World War II, in which he served, honorably, until its end. He returned home to his wife, Beaulah Cross Alex, and child and completed his high school education using the GI Bill. He was employed by Lake Charles Rice Mill, the Lake Charles School Department and union Local 207. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, one brother and one son. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Elimae Collins Alex; three children, Delores Alex Carter (George) of New Orleans and Mary C. Braswell and Marvin J. Alex, both of Lake Charles; stepchildren, Betty DeCoux of Lake Charles and Joyce McGee (William) of Los Angeles; one brother, Sheffield Alex of Lake Charles; one sister, Gladiola Lewis of Houston; four grandchildren, Derrick Alex (Yvonne), Johnathan Alex (Angela), Quincy Alex and Elissa Braswell; 10 stepgrandchildren, Brent DeCoux, Jackie Raglin (Kenneth), Pam Jerigan (Reuben), Irell Valyan (Nicole), Cicely Scott (Benjamin), Shamika Collins Allen, Karla Hamilton (Michael), Daryl Payne (Michelle), Joshua Ross and Tami Ross; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. His funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, from Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Mancuso will officiate. Photo with article ANDRUS, Eviola LCAP 04/15/2006 HACKBERRY — Eviola Andrus, 76, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, in a local care center. She had lived in the Hackberry area for most of her life. She attended St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Survivors include her sons, Harold J. Soileau and wife Elizabeth of Hackberry and Curtis Dale Andrus and wife Ernestine of Sulphur; her daughters, Geneva Nunez and husband Perry of Creole, Sherry Humphery of Westlake, and Kattie Richard and husband Preston of Hackberry; her brother, Leland LaBove of Sulphur; 14 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; and six greatgreat- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrus; her parents, Shelton and Melian LaBove; and her brother, John Alvia LaBove. ARMENTOR, Ina Nunez LCAP 03/21/2006 Ina Nunez Armentor, 81, of Little Chenier, died Monday, March 20, 2006, in a local care center. Ms. Armentor was a native and life resident of Cameron Parish. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ms. Armentor loved crocheting and making clothes for her family. Ms. Armentor is survived by two sons, John Travis “Manny” Armentor and wife Jeanne and Albert James Armentor all of Little Chenier; three daughters, Patricia “Peggy” Simon and husband Leroy, Kathy Wright and husband Curtis all of Hackberry and Cheryl Barry of Lake Arthur; three brothers, Curtis Nunez of Chenier Perdue, Perry Nunez of Little Chenier and Preston Nunez of Iowa; four sisters, Irma Granger of Sweetlake, Shirley Mhire and husband Melvin of Grand Chenier, Barbara Nunez and Martha Faye Vincent both of Little Chenier; seventeen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven step- grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren. Ms. Armentor was preceded in death by three sons, Kenneth Wayne Armentor, Samuel Joseph Armentor and Adonile Joseph Armentor; daughter, Mary Jane Girior; four grandchildren, Joey Broussard, Shawn Armentor, Aaron Armentor and Micha Miller; two brothers, Avery Nunez and Elry Nunez; three sisters, Will Marie Nunez, Mary Jane Nunez and Jeanette Clayton. Her funeral will be at noon Wednesday, March 22, from St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sweetlake. The Rev. Joe McGrath will officiate. AUCOIN, Fayola Rutherford CAMERON PARISH PILOT 02/23/2006 CREOLE — Fayola Aucoin, 62, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, in her residence. She lived in Creole all of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family would like donations to go to the Lupus Foundation, which Fay was a member of, in hopes of finding a cure for this dreaded disease, which she suffered from. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Comeaux of Perry, and three grandchildren, Jessie Comeaux, Jarrad Comeaux and Lacey Comeaux. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, from St. Patrick Catholic Church on La. 27 in Sweetlake. Burial will be in Rutherford Cemetery in Oakgrove. Visitation is 11 a.m.-10 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Thursday in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
