Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 2, in Grace Church of DeRidder. The Revs. George Lee Glass and George Lee Glass Jr. will officiate. Visitation is 8-11 a.m. in Hixson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beauregard Cemetery. Juanita was born in Longville, grew up in Hackberry and lived most of her life in DeRidder. She traveled with her husband, Ted, to Arkansas and Texas with his oilfield jobs. She owned and operated the Pine Park Camp Cafe in Arkansas and the Sea Brew Cafe in Houma. Juanita was a loving wife and homemaker. She was a member of Grace Church in DeRidder. Juanita’s survivors include husband Clarence “Ted” Carter; sons Larry Alesi and wife Gloria Jean and Ronald Carter and wife Bellie; daughters Peggy Lee-Carter and Brenda Lambert and husband Alton; grandchildren Jessie Reich and wife Natalie, Amber Lee, Jason Carter, Laura Lambert, Lena Lamber-Marze and husband Cade, and Leslie Lambert; and great-grandchildren Alexander Carter, Andrew Lambert, William Reich, Kelly Carter and Faith Lambert. Photo included with article. CROMWELL, Lloyd LCAP 01/29/2006 HOLLY BEACH — Lloyd Cromwell, 73, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, in a local hospital. His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. CROMWELL, Lloyd CAMERON PILOT 02/02/2006 Lloyd Cromwell, 73, of Holly Beach, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in a local hospital. A native of Harrian, Tenn., he was a cook for over 20 years in Holly Beach. Survivors include his wife, Mary “Mae” Cromwell; three daughters, Becky “Pumpkin” Badon and son-in-law, Tracy, of Sulphur, Lisa and Evon Cromwell, both of Tennessee; one son, Ricky Cromwell of Tennessee; a number of grandchildren; two brothers, Hershel and Pete Cromwell; two sisters, Barbara Owens, Bobbie Underwood, all of Tennessee. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 31 in Consolata Cemetery under direction of Johnson Funeral Home. CROSS, J. W. Funeral services for Mr. J. W. “Gator” Cross Jr., 42, formerly of Creole, were held Sunday, Jan. 1, at Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur. Rev. Bobby Leger officiated. Burial was in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Mr. Cross died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005 in Sulphur. He was a native of Pineville and was a lifelong resident of Creole. He was a contract lineman for the past 20 years. He was an alligator trapper which earned him the nickname “Gator”. Survivors include his wife, Sonya Cross of Sulphur; two sons, Joshua Cross of Sulphur and David Cross of Florida; three daughters, Alexis Cross, Annalise Cross and Rachel Cross, all of Sulphur; one sister, Victoria Cross of Kentucky, and two grandchildren.
