All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** FRAZIER, Uretta Colligan LCAP 06/02/2006 CARLYSS — Uretta Colligan Frazier, 68, was born to Joseph Leland Colligan and Ernestine Roux on June 27, 1937, in Hackberry and died at home in Carlyss on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, surrounded by loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Uretta grew up in Hackberry and Lake Charles before marrying Robert M. Frazier and moving in 1954 to New Holland, Ohio, where she devoted her life to raising seven children. She was active in school activities and St. Colman Catholic Church. She returned to Hackberry in 1986 and was an active member in the community, the HHS reunion class of the 1940s-1950s and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Baby Leland, and son, Joe. Those surviving to cherish her loving memory are her husband, Robert, six children, and 10 grandchildren: Debra Frazier of Carlyss; Kathleen (Mrs. Mark) Walter, Sarah, Stephanie and Mark Ryan of Lake Charles; Rodney (Viola) Frazier of Newport, Ky., and Joshua of Fremont, Ohio; Sherrie (Mrs. Dan) Preston, Bobi Jo and Mitchell of Clarksburg, Ohio; Wayne (Patrice) Frazier, Kelsie and Logan of Mesa, Ariz.; and Shawn (Lisa) Frazier, Jacob and Anna of Washington C.H., Ohio. Also surviving her are two brothers, Dr. John L. (Rosalie) Colligan of Lake Charles and Fred (Brendia) Colligan of Carlyss; three sisters, Loretta (Mrs. Robert) Henry of Sulphur, Ernestine Rosteet of Sulphur and Lela James of Houston; one aunt, Helen “Auntie” Colligan of Hackberry; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral arrangements are by Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Visitation, rosary and funeral will be at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church hall in Hackberry. Visitation is 6-10 p.m. today, June 2, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., and 8-10 a.m. Saturday, with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. followed by burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Roland Vaughn will officiate. Pallbearers will be her brothers and sons, and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, Uretta’s desire was for donations to be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Rebuilding Fund, 1210 Main St., Hackberry, LA 70645. Photo included with article
