He was a native and lifelong resident of Hackberry. He enjoyed riding horses and working cows. Cannonball will be remembered as a very hard working cowboy and will be missed by all. Mrs. Giles lived in Cameron for 70 years and in Golden Age Nursing Home in Welsh for four years. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. Giles, who worked with R.E.A. in Cameron. GRANGER, Willie Leo LCAP 06/19/2006 Willie Leo Granger, 78, of Grand Lake, went to be with his heavenly father on Father’s Day, June 18, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends at his home. Willie was a lifelong resident of the Lake Charles area, and a direct descendent of the Black Bayou area pioneers. Willie loved gardening, his tractor and his family. He took great pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always boastful of their accomplishments. Willie served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a retired electrician and a member of local IBEW 861, VFW 2130 and Christ the King Catholic Church. Mrs. Guillory was born in Rayne and lived most of her life in Sweetlake. She had lived the past 12 years in Lake Charles. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake and St. Margaret Catholic churches. She enjoyed working with her plants and flower gardens. Mrs. Guillory will most be remembered for her love of family.
