Venable, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006, in a local care center. Survivors include his son, Michael Lynn Venable Sr. and wife Callie of West Columbia; two daughters, Deborah Piercefield and husband John and Wanda Rodriguez and husband Valentine, all of Lake Jackson, Texas; brother, Willis Venable Jr. and companion Codie Rayburn of Orange, Texas; four sisters, May Bostick and husband Bill and Margaret Griffin, all of Lake Charles, Annie Wright of Thibodaux and Bernice Thibodeaux and husband Eltee of Westlake; and five stepchildren Donovan, Carlton, Tony, Rachel and Mickie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dudley Venable Sr. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in First Baptist Cemetery of Cameron. Visitation is from 10 a.m. Thursday. VINCENT, Russell John Jr. LCAP 03/07/2006 Russell John Vincent Jr., 53, died in his residence. Mr. Vincent was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Hackberry High School and attended McNeese State University. Mr. Vincent served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for 28 years as the night emergency room registration supervisor. Mr. Vincent is survived by his brother, Craig E. Vincent, and two sisters, Charlene Ebersole and Shanna Gilbert. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Revs. David Dewitt and Charles McMillin will officiate. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, with a Scripture service at 6 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Thursday.
