Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery under the direction of Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8 a.m. today, in the church. A rosary was recited Sunday evening. A descendant of a pioneer family in Hackberry, Mr. Sanner was in the first graduating class of Hackberry High School. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He was an original member of the West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital Board of Directors and served on the Cameron Parish School Board for 16 years. He worked as an oil field worker for Standard Oil Company and was a retired cattleman. Survivors include his wife, Nita Sanner; one son Cecil Raymond Sanner of Lake Charles; two daughters, Anita Jo Trahan and Ruth Claire Billedeaux of Hackberry; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
