He was the son of John Arthur Wurster and Eula Frances Wiggins Wurster. He attended the public schools in Jonesville and graduated from the Natchez Institute in Natchez, MS. In 1920, he was appointed cashier of the Catahoula Bank in Jonesville. On February 9, 1929, he was elected Director, subsequently, Vice President and Executive Vice President, the position he held until 1956 when he assumed the position of President of the Catahoula Bank. In May of 1966, he was honored with an award commemorating fifty years of service as a banker at the Banker's Convention in New Orleans, LA. He was the owner of Wurster Insurance Company. He was a member of the Tensas Basin Levee Board, The Lions and Rotary Clubs. Additional Comments: He was married to Emelind Gibson Dayton Wurster. He had three daughters, Sibyl Wurster Brooks, Rosemary Wurster Craddock and Eula Routh Wurster Daggett.
