To the Sheriff of the Parish of Catahoula - Greetings

You are hereby commanded to summons and cause to come before the 
District Court for the Seventh Judicial District, Parish of Catahoula 
& State aforesaid on the fourth Monday of March in the Year One 
Thousand eight hundred and thirty-three. 

Michael H. Dosson, Foreman; Lavaranctio Bailey (Baillio); Samuel 
Sayers; James L. Stokes; John Galvan (sic); George Collins; William 
Blunt; Thomas Duke; Gilbert O'Neal; Jonathan York; John Cockerham Jr.; 
James Brooks; William Hawthorne Jr.; Enos Mackey; John Kitterling 
(sic); John Prickett; Burwell Hill; John Green; Richard Doyal; 
Richard Brown; Elijah Ford; George Kiper; Henry Newman; William 
Ballard; Lovett Newman; Thomas Holly; George Zimmer; Thomas P. 
Lackey; S.W. McCluere (sic); Henry Stampley Sr.; Samuel Masters; 
Duncan Buie; Jesse Pearce; Henry Stampley Jr.; Samuel Green; Elias 
Carter; John Hill Jr.; Reazin (sic) Creswell; William Mills; Mortimer 
Stone; Burwell Johnson; Stephen Holstein; James White Jr.; James G. 
Taliaferro; Moses Wiggins; Thomas Leavins; William Lanius; and 
Williamson Prickett.

Forty-eight good and lawful men of said Parish. Free White Inhabitants 
of the same, who have resided at one year in the State of Louisiana 
to the end.  That they may be impaneled, sworn and charged to inquire 
for the Body of said Parish of Catahoula as the Grand Jurors, thereof 
and present all murders, felonies, misdemeanors, misdeeds, offenses 
and inquiries whatsoever and also the accessories of the same within 
the Parish aforesaid, Perpetrated and Committed and have then and 
there the Names of the Jurors so summoned together-in, with this writ.

Witness the Honorable John H. Overton, Judge of said Court this
22nd day of January in the Year of Our Lord 1833
