When and where I proceeded to make an inventory of the property belonging to the succession in community between. Taliaferro Parish Judge State of Louisiana Parish of Catahoula Be it remembered that on this 19th day of May A.D. 1837 at the insistence of Mrs. Mary O'Berry wife of Elisha Whatley decd. I caused the property of the minor heirs of said Elisha Whatley to be adjudicated to her amounting to Six thousand one hundred and sixty two dollars and thirty cents and the emancipated negroes Mary Thomas and Ailsa(?) Lesens commenting that they being duly authorized (?) by their husbands present the whole of the undivided half of the aforesaid succession in community between Mrs. Mary Whatley and the heirs of said Elisha Whatley deceased, was adjudicated to the said Mrs Mary Whatley amounting to the sum of James G Taliaferro Judge of Probate I, Mary Whatley having been duly confirmed in the tutorship of my minor children, to wit: Jordan Whatley, Robert Whatley, Eliza Whatley & Daniel Whatley and other heirs that may arrive, minor heirs of Elisha Whatley deceased, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me in said capacity according to the best of my abilities and understanding and according to law, So help me God.
