Neathery of the aforesaid State & Parish and A. W. Faulkner of Caldwell Parish Louisiana _ Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars Cash in hand paid _ and fifty dollars worth of groceries & goods in hand paid _ and the rent free of the Goodwin plantation next Year 1869 _ to the said Neathery or his assigns __ The said Thomas S. Neathery hereby does sell transfer and deliver to the said A. W. Faulkner his heirs and assigns The following described property _ viz _ The piece of Land & houses commonly known as the Roesfeld place Numbers as follows __ The West half of Section thirty one Township No Eleven Range five East _ in Land Dist North of Red River Containing __ three hundred and twenty acres more of less __ together with all and singular the improvements thereon __ the full consideration for which is hereby acknowledged __ unto the aforesaid Faulkner his heirs and assigns forever __ binding Myself my heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the aforesaid parties have hereunto affixed their hands in presence of the undersigned competent Witnesses Attest /s/ W.
