All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** State of Louisiana } Parish of Catahoula } Before me Samuel Lightner Judge of the Parish of Catahoula aforesaid and the two Subscribing Witnesses on This twelfth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty Personally appeared John Shrock of the Parish and State aforesaid and acknowledged that for and in consid- Eration of the sum of Eight hundred and Fifty dollars to him in hand paid by Joel Treherne of said Parish and State the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained Sold and conveyed a certain improvement of Land lying and being in the Parish aforesaid on Sicily Island at the foot of the Pine Hills and being the same on which the said John Shrock at present resides and conveyed to said Shrock by Micajah Pickett of which improvement has the right of premption Together with all and Singular the appurtanances thereunto belonging or in any Wise appertaining To Have and to hold the said above described improvement of Land to the said Joel Treherne his heirs and assigns to the only proper uise and behalf of the said Joel Treharne his heirs and assigns forever. And it is understood by the parties that the said John Shrock does not Warrant and defend the title of the paid improvement only from himself his heirs Executors and administrators. And on the same day and date came Joel Trehearn and accepts the foregoing conveyance in all its parts and clauses.
