Willbanks**** Recorded January 20th 1863 State of Louisiana } Parish of Catahoula} Before me Thomas D. Nix Recorder in and for said State and Parish, on this 19th day of January AD 1863, Personally came and appeared A. G. Chapman of the Parish of Catahoula & State aforesaid, Who declared that for the price and Sum hereinafter expressed, he does by these presents, sell, transfer and deliver unto W. P. Willbanks also of the same residence a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being situate in the Parish of Catahoula, the said W P Willbanks being here present purchasing for himself his heirs, the following described land to wit: The South half of the Southwest quarter, also Southwest 1/4 of South- east quarter of Section 8, T 9 R 4 East. Together with all and singular the improvements thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to the Same _ To have and to hold the same with full warrentee of title _ This Sale is made for the price and Sum of Five hundred dollars Cash the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged_ The parties being present agree to dispense with a Mortgage Certificate as required by Article 3328 of the Civil Code of this State, and fully exonorate me Recorder from all harm in the premises for processing this act with the production of the same_ Thus done and signed on the day, month and year first above written in presence of the undersigned subscribing witnesses & aforesaid Recorder__ /s/ A.
