DIED,
        In the town of Harrisonburg, La., January 1, 1877, WM. C. SARGENT; born in
Harrisonburg, March 16, 1849.
        Mr. Sargent on Christmas morning last, was endeavoring to eject an
offending visitor from his place of business in Harrisonburg, and in the
attempt received a stab in the temple.  His death, a week following, was the
result of the wound.
