Mississippi Free Trader and Natchez Gazette (Natchez, MS), April 7, 1849
DIED.
	In this city [note:  Natchez, MS], on the 4th inst. after a lingering 
illness at the residence of his brother, Wm. Cannon, Mr. James D. Cannon, of 
the Parish of Catahoula , Louisiana, in the 34th year of his age.
