He was a native of Opelousas. Mr. McLeod was a member of FirstPresbyterian Church of Opelousas.He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran during the Vietnam Conflict who served as aPresidential Guard to Lyndon B. Johnson. Mr. McLeod was a Commercial Truck Driver withAcme Truck Line, Inc. and worked for Exxon for over 20 years.Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Newberry McLeod of Walker; his mother, Marvel HoreckyMcLeod of Opelousas; two daughters and son-in-law, Megan Michelle and Russell Godwin ofPrairieville, and Katie McLeod and fiance' Jeremy Ashles of Denham Springs; four stepchildren,Preston Cerame and companion, Kaci Stelly of Denham Springs, Anthony Cerame of BatonRouge, Blain Cerame and Blair Cerame, both of Walker; four sisters and two brothers-in-law,Marsha and Greg Beckstrom of Sunshine, Monette and Donnie Dean of Opelousas, AnneAdrienne McLeod of New Orleans, and Beverly McLeod Holt of Estes Park, Colo.; a brother andsister-in-law, Milton A.
