Fayetteville Observer (Fayetteville, NC), January 28, 1834
DIED,
	In the Parish of Catahoula in Louisiana, in October last, of a 
conjestive [sic] fever, Mr. ALEXANDER McQUEIN, a native of this County, aged 
about 28 years.  During his short residence in Louisiana, he appears to have 
gained the respect and esteem of all who knew him, which he possessed to a high 
degree here before his emigration.
