Mrs. Vivian MeyersMrs. Vivian Meyers, 77, of Harrisonburg, died at 4:55 a.m.
Sunday, February1, 1987, at the Catahoula Parish Hospital in
Jonesville.Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Meyers Bend
Pentecostal Churchwith Revs. Bill Cotten and M.O. Martin, officiating.Burial
followed at Harrisonburg Cemetery with arrangements by HixsonBrothers Inc.
of Jena.Survivors include a son, E.C. Meyers Jr. of Harrisonburg; two
daughters,Getice Laffoon of West Monroe and Evelyn Stringer of Eunice; two
brothers,James Slaughter of Pollock and Earl Slaughter of Harrisonburg; a
sister,Hazel Carmichel of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.Pallbearers
were Charles Stringer, Clark Freeman, John Meyers, Zock Meyers,John Stutson
