Calvin S. Peyton, Jonesville, La. - Calvin Stampley Peyton, 71, died at
2:a.m.Monday at his residence after a long illness.  He was a retired farmer
andpostmaster.  Funeral services were to be at 2:00 p.m. today in First
Presbyterian Churchwith Rev. Jess Bean officiating.  Burial was to be in the
Harrisonburgcemetery under direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of
Jena.Survivors are his wife, Ernestine Young Peyton of Jonesville; two sons,
E.Y.Peyton of Jonesville and Joe W. Peyton of Shreveport; two brothers L.D.
Peytonof Bentonia, Miss and J.D. Peyton of Winnsboro; a sister, Mrs. Sam
Duke ofJackson, Miss., seven grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.(Note:  Calvin S. Peyton died December 29, 1969)###
