F. Pierce, 82, long-time resident of Orange, and the father of Mrs. B. A. Williams of Port Arthur, died in Manifest, La. on Christmas day. He was buried in the family cemetery in Grayson, La., Saturday afternoon. Surviving are his wife; four sons, E. M. Pierce, E. E. Pierce, and W. S. Pierce of Orange, and Howard Pierce of Manifest; six daughters, Mrs. Luticia Ogden of Orange, Mrs. Ess Wright and Mrs. M. Granpham of Manifest; Miss Daisy Pierce of Corpus Christi; Mrs. N. D. Kelley of Marysville, Cal., and Mrs. Williams of Port Arthur. Mr. Pierce was ill about seven weeks prior to his death, which followed a heart attack. Services at the cemetery were conducted by Rev. Thompson Doty of the Manifest Baptist church. Additional Comments: W. F. Pierce (b. 05 Sep 1854 - d. 25 Dec 1936) is buried in Welcome Home Cemetery (Grayson, Caldwell Parish, LA).
