Joseph Ed Stelly

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Ed Stelly, 73, will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday in Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue
Memorial Park Cemetery.

The Rev. Malcolm O'Leary will conduct the services.

Mr. Stelly, a resident of Opelousas, died Sunday, February 24, 2002, in
Opelousas. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas.

Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Wilma Richard Stelly; four sons, Charles
Stelly, Larry and Garvin Frank, all of Opelousas, and James Hansen of
California; five daughters, Marva Dugas, Sandra Milburn, Ann Reed and Zonnia
Gail Stelly, all of Opelousas, and Sabrina Campbell of Houston, Texas; four
brothers, Merlin Stelly of New Orleans, B.L. Stelly of Houston, Texas, Lee
Stelly and Sylvester "Junior" Stelly, both of Houston, Texas; three sisters,
Vesta Wheeler of Opelousas, Rosa Lee Williams of Houston, Texas, and
Evangeline Green of Tacoma, Wash.; 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren;
and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Stelly was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Bertha
Babineaux Stelly; six brothers and sisters; a granddaughter; and a great-
grandson.

A wake will be held from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Ford and Joseph Funeral
Home in Opelousas, which is in charge of arrangements. A rosary will be
recited at 11 a.m.
