C. Duke security, of said Parish, and State, are held and firmly bound unto R. C. Wickliff Governor, of the State of Louisiana, or his successors in office, in the just and full sum of Three hundred Dollars, for the full and punctual payment of which sum, we hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents, this 4th day of September A.D. 1858. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there exists no legal impediment to the celebration of a Marriage between the above bounden Levi Bass Jr. as aforesaid, and Ellen Amanda Thacker then the above obligation to be null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect.
