Turn left onto FS 910 and continue for approximately 1-2 miles until the road dead-ends into Gaston Road. Turn right onto Gaston Road and continue for approximately .5 mile. Cemetery is visible from Gaston Road but you must turn right down a small country road. Cemetery will be on the right in a large pasture. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: Some markers are broken but most appear to be in good condition. Cemetery is in excellent condition and appears to be well cared for. Graves in this cemetery appear to be mixed white and African American. Some graves are marked with only an unreadable funeral home marker. Names with an asterick indicate that some or all information was taken from an existing funeral home marker. If anyone knows an alternate name for this cemetery, please contact the submitter. An earlier survey reveals some markers which could not be found. They will be listed at the end of this survey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NAME BORN DIED COMMENTS Battle, General Thurman 1893 Oct 1965 Battle, Lovelace 15 Feb 1862 01 Apr 1952 Battle, Napolean 1887 1986 Braggs, Martha 1862 1927 Brown, Sudie ----- ----- d/o A.H. & M.A. Brown; Aged 1 year Brown, Sue Emma** 30 Oct 1904 22 Feb 1998 Aged 93 years Bugg, Annie Bell 26 Jun 1899 28 Nov 1899 d/o Johnson & Mettie Bugg Bugg, Arber ----- ----- "August 4" Bugg, Julius 1856 11 Aug 1940 Aged 84 years Buggs, Eddie A. 1883 1986 Buggs, Juilus 18 Sep 1901 07 Apr 1902 Aged 1y, 7m, 18d Buggs, Lonnie George 10 Jan 1899 27 Oct 1958 Aged 59 years Buggs, Louanna 04 Jul 1854 09 Feb 1959 w/o Jules Buggs; Aged 105y, 7m, 15d Bursey, Annie 05 May 1907 12 Nov 1989 Bursey, John Robert 05 Jul 1885 21 Jan 1965 Bursey, Kaiser 19 Sep 1922 24 Feb 1984 Bursey, Lidda L. 15 May 1888 17 Sep 1936 Bursey, Warren 1851 20 Jan 1896 Caldwell, Alfred J. 11 Mar __63 02 Dec __64 Coleman, Celie B. 20 Aug 1886 19 Nov 1974 Coleman, Odessa** 03 Jan 1906 02 Feb 1992 Aged 96y, 1m, 10d Coleman, Ziller 30 May 1915 12 Feb 1974 Harper, Nancy 19 Feb 1869 30 Mar 1934 Aged 65 years Harper, Santa A. 13 Aug 1891 22 Sep 1968 LA Pvt Casual Det WWI Hill, Lena 18 Apr 1898 14 Apr 1974 Hill, Mattie 05 Dec 1873 14 Feb 1963 Hill, Moses 1866 16 May 1945 Aged 78 years Kidd, Dodson 15 Mar 1903 25 May 1993 Pvt US Army WWII Kidd, Elmer Sr. 05 Sep 1909 28 Feb 1984 Kidd, Ira 13 Apr 1892 06 Jan 1985 Kidd, Jasper -----(broken) 27 Jun 19--broken) Aged 61 years Kidd, Lonnie Jr.** ----- 12 Mar 199_ Aged 52 years Kidd, Lonnie Sr. 15 Oct 1895 29 Jun 1977 Pvt US Army WWI Kidd, Mary 15 Apr 1910 23 May 1965 Kidd, Turrie 10 Jan 1878 10 Aug 1956 Mack, Sue Annie 16 Oct 1898 11 Apr 1976 Aged 77 years McDaniel, Charles 10 Nov 1879 25 Dec 1974 Aged 95 years McDaniel, Charles Edward 13 Oct 1947 18 Apr 1993 "Big Cee" McDaniel, Henry 26 Jan 1887 14 Jan 1934 Aged 47 years McDaniel, Melvin 10 Jun 1922 29 Oct 1970 LA CPL US Army WWII McDaniel, Wesley 01 May 1873 26 Apr 1965 McDaniel, Beulah Mae 05 Jun 1890 21 Apr 1971 Monk, Beulah 07 Jul 1867 15 Aug 1875 d/o Thomas & Mary Monk Monk, Gus ----- -- May 1905 Monk, Infant Dau. ----- ----- d/o M. & N.B.
