Goodwin, December'd # 1186 PD recorded on page 178, book O Probate State of Louisiana, Parish of Claiborne Filed 11-25-1933, recorded 7-28-1934 2nd Judical Court, Homer, Louisiana Petition, affidavits and order fro letters of administration Petition of Desdemon (Des) Goodwin, widow of John T. Goodwin in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana shows: 1. married John T. Goodwin in 1905 2. John T. Goodwin died intestate in his place of residence and domicile at Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. Left property of 40 acres in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana of value of less than $500.00. 3.There are privileged and ordinary debts to decedents estate and that petitioner desires to be appointed administrator of this estate. 4. Petitioner further represents that the decedent left, as his sole and only heirs-at-law the following: Your petitioner, his surviving spouse; and R. B. Goodwin, Jim Goodwin, Robert Goodwin, and Mrs. Sallie Lambright, nee Goodwin, and George Goodwin, children, residents of Claiborne Parish, Louisian; The heirs of Poke (sic) Goodwin, a child who died in March, 1924 and left surviving him: Lester Goodwin, Autrey Harrison, nee Goodwin, Iris Goodwin and Ardis Goodwin, all of whom are living except Ardis Goodwin who died in June of 1933, and left two children surviving him whose names are unknown to your petitioner; The heirs of Mollie Goodwin Coon, a child who died about the year 1908 and left surviving her the following children: Ateemus Coon, Bertha Coon, Walter Coon, Doney Coon, Clyde Coon, Elmo Coon, Stella Coon and Novi Coon; That Novi Coon died without issue and Stella Coon left surviving her four children whose names are unknown to your petitioner. Wherefore, the premise and annexed affidavits considered, petitioner prays that her application for letters of administration on the estate of the descedent be published, according to law. Petitioner further parays for all orders necessary or proper in the premises and for general relief. Before me, the undersigned authority, personally came and appeared Mrs. Desdemona (Des) Goodwin who, being duly sworn, deposes and says: That she is the applicant for letters names in the foregoing petition; that she has read said petition; and that the facts and allegations therein contained are true and correct. As several of the heirs live outside of the state of Louisiana, a Curator Ad Hoc, Wm. F. M. Meadors, attorney. However an order for the Hon. Richard S. That in the interest of the creditors that the sale of said succession property be made for cash and for not less then 2/3s of the value appraised Ordered: That the real estate be sold for cash and for not less than 2/3 of the appraised value of said proberty. After Two weekly advertisements of said property. Added that the property will be sold on Saturday, December 23rd, 1933 that at the principal front door of the Court House in the Town of Homer, Claiborne Parish, during the legal hours for judicial sales and according to law sell the above described property of the above named desceased at the public outcry to the last and highest bidder, for cash, to satisfy the debts owing by said Succession. Proof having been given that all duties have been discharged it is ordered that all responsibility as adminstratrix as the bond be cancelled and that the surety be removed.
