(signed) Ann E. Jarrell Willis M. Jarrell James T. Hightower Approved on Dec 24/61 Ben R. Coleman ___________________ Notes: Caroline Virginia Kidd, born October 07, 1857 in Homer, Claiborne, LA, died March 14, 1932 in Haynesville, Claiborne, LA. - daughter of Ann Eliza Almond and James Alva Kidd. James died in Homer in July 1859. Ann remarried Willis M. Jarrell Nov. 10, 1861. Carrie Kidd married George Washington Reeder on December 23, 1875 in Gordon, Claiborne, LA. William T. Kidd is William Thomas Kidd, brother of James Alva Kidd. He was the administrator of his brother's estate, and co-tutor with Ann Kidd before her remarriage. James T. Fortson is James Thomas Fortson, Ann Almond Kidd's brother-in-law, being the husband of her sister Martha Angeline Almond. He is also a distant cousin, related to her mother, Elizabeth Fortson. A.W. Almond is Asa White Almond. I believe him to be Ann's cousin. He is son of Simeon Almond, who I believe to be a brother to Ann's father, Isaac Almond. William J. Almond is William James Almond, another son to Simeon Almond and brother to Asa. If I'm correct in my assumptions about Simeon and Isaac Almond being brothers, both William and Asa would be first cousins to Ann Eliza Almond. To my knowledge, no researcher has uncovered any documentary evidence of the relationship between Simeon Almond (Almand) and Isaac Almond. I consider these documents to be good evidence of some sort of relationship between these men, since they are identified as "near relations" of Caroline's. P.A. David is unknown to me. I believe that a sister of Isaac Almond married Jacob W. David. This man may be a cousin of Ann's through her father's sister. H.S. Goodenough is Horatio S. Goodenough, who married Josephine Elizabeth Kidd, James' sister. So, Mr. Goodenough was a brother-in-law to James Alva Kidd. _________________ If you have additional information about any of these people, or corrections to this record, please contact Sherry Zorzi, 23648 Sunnyside Lane, Zachary, LA. # # #
