In cnsideration of the sum of six hundred the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged I here by sell & convey to John Railey of said Parish all my rights title and interest in the South West quarter of the South East quarter of section twenty two & West half of South W quarter & South East quarter of South West quarter of section twenty three township twenty two of range four West being in all two hundred and forty acres more or less being in said Parish of Claiborne. The perfect title to which said described land I hereby fully guarantee to the said John Railey and his heirs and assigns forever in testimony where of I here by affix my hand and seal this 28 day of February A D 1867.
