BE IT REMEMBERED That on this 13th day of October, A.D. 1913 before me R.H. Forston, Clerk of the District Court, and Ex-Officio a Notary Public, in and for the Parish of Claiborne, La. duly commissioned and qualified according to the law, personally came and appeared, Andrew J. Thigpen, of Ruston, Lincoln Parish, La., who wife is Mrs. Myrtle Thigpen nee Goins and Mrs. Bettie Brooke, wife of J.M Brook, who signs hereto to authorize his said wife, and Mrs. Sudie Knighton, wife of W.M Knighton, who signs hereto for the purpose of authorizing his said wife, and appeared to said W.M Knighton, acting as agent and attorney in fact for the following persons, namely, Joe H. Thigpen, James B. Thigpen, Authur F. Thigpen and Mrs. Gibbs Evans, wife of E.N. Evans, Mrs. Coraq Smith, wife of Joe Smithe and Mrs. Sallie Worsham, wife of Albert Worsham, Mrs. Love Hunter, wife of W.S. Hunter, John Dyer, James Dyer and Ike Dyer, being the only heirs of Mrs. Ali Dyer nee Thigpen, (the powers of attorney under which the said W.M. Knighton is acting being recorded on pages 544,545,556, and 557, Book “Y” Conveyance Records of Claiborne Parish and which records are hereby specially referred to show the authority of said W.M Knighton) who declared that they being the only heirs of B. Thigpen and Mrs. A.T. Thigpen, both deceased for and in consideration of the sum and price hereinafter set forth they have this day sold and do by this act and these presents sell, convey, transfer, set over and deliver with full and complete guaranty of title and with full transfer and subrogation of all rights and actions of warranty against all former Vendors of the property presently convey unto T. Franklin Hollenshead whose wife is Mrs. Katie E. Hollenshead nee Miller, a resident of Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, here present and accepting in his own behalf, all and singular the following describe property situated in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, The NW ¼ of Section One (1) in Township Twenty-one (21) North of Range Eight (8) west, forty (40) acres more or less with all and singular the improvements thereon and inherited from their deceased ancestors B. Thigpen and Mrs. A.F. Thigpen deceased. This sale, transfer, and conveyance is made for and in consideration of the sum and price of Four Hundred Eighty ($480.00) cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. Mortgage certificate dispensed with by the parties hereto and relieve me said Notary from all liability in the premises. All due taxes on said property paid as evidenced by tax receipts.
