Kennedy Clerk of the District Court in and for the said parish, and duly directed, after having advertised for thirty clear days in the Claiborne Adovate, a weekly newspaper published in the town of Homer, said parish and state, and after having procured from the Recorder of Mortages of said parish a mortage certificate, and having complied with all other legal requirements, I proceeded, on the 12 th January, 1857, within the legal hours of sale, after reading my commission the mortage certificate and the advertising to offer for cash, to the last and highest bidder, at the court house door in the town of Homer, all the land to the estate and succession of JAMES and PERMELIA WISE dec'd, and after having said the same in a loud and audible voice for a considerable length of time, sold the same to AMBROSE WISE, he being the last and highest bidder, for the sum of one dollar per acre, amounting in all to four hundred and thirty dollars the land described as follows, to wit: the south half of the southeast quarter of the section nineteen [19] --- the northeast quarter and the northwest quarter of the section thirty [30] the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the section thirty [30] all in township twenty three [23] . taken from records at Homer Court House Claiborne Parish, Louisiana April 1988 # # #
