B. Adkins, 77, of Benton, Tuesday, October 31 at 1 p.m. Officiating was Bro. Estel Fleming of Benton and interment was at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Mr. Adkins died October 29 at Bossier Medical center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Adkins was a native of Claiborne Parish and had been a Benton resident since 1965. He was retired from the Soil Conservation after 39 years of service. He was a Baptist. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Adkins of Benton; three daughters, Barbara Yarbrough of Shreveport, Carol Jones and husband, Mike of Coushatta, and Susan Lawrence and husband, Robert of Benton; one son, Bruce Adkins and wife, Diana of Benton; three sisters, Modena Lowrey of Lisbon, Eloise Bennett of San Augustine, Texas, and Maxine Mayo of Shreveport; one brother, Vernon Adkins of Jonesboro; and eight grandchildren. # # #
