Hilburn, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. , Tuesday, August 27, 1996 at the Central Baptist church, where he was a member, with Dr. Ron Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill. Mr. Hilburn, a native and lifelong resident of this area, passed away Sunday, August 25, 1996, in Shreveport, LA after a long illness. He was a retired businessman. He was preceded in death by his wife Nell Lewis Hilburn on February 28, 1971. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mildred Hall Hilburn; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jeri Hilburn, Billy and Frances Hilburn, Robert and Lana Hilburn all of Springhill; sister Ethel Chambers of El Dorado, AR and brother, George Hilburn of Plain Dealing; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jamie Barnes, Jeffery Brown, Baine Smith, Josh Wheeler, Dale Thompson, Lindy Green, Randy Toms and Mike Hilburn. # # #
