PITTMAN SHREVEPORT, LA - Private graveside services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Park for Tim H. Pittman, age 86, in Shreveport on Monday, January 17, 1994. Officiating will be Rev. Crawford Williams of Ingleside Baptist Church where Mr. Pittman was a member. He entered into rest on Friday, January 14, 1994 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Pittman was a native of Athens, LA., and had lived in Shreveport most of his life. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, being a member of of Caddo Parish Lodge #179 since 1937. Mr. Pittman was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service with over 30 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vernlie Pittman, two daughters, Yvonne Hendrick and husband Ruvian of Shreveport, and Paula J. Butler and husband Sam of Challis, Idaho. Also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Stockton of Milwaukie, OR., and Mabel Martin of Portland, OR., one brother, Harry D. Pittman of Shreveport; two grandchildren, Susan and David Hendrick. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Virginia Hall Nursing Home, and the doctors and nurses at Willis Knighton for their loving care. # # #
