W. Smith Services for Mr. J. W. Smith, 72, of Homer, LA, will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 15, 1999 in the Rose-Neath's Homer Chapel with Rev. Ken Gilmore officiating. Graveside service will be at 3 PM, Wednesday in the Queen City Cemetery, Queen City, TX. Mr. Smith was born in Franklin Parish, LA, and died Monday September 13, 1999 in Homer, LA. He was retired from Selig Manufacturing of Monroe with 22 years of service, and an upholsterer and foreman. Later, he was the Owner/Operator of Homer Automotive Machine Shop of 14 years. Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 51 years: Lillian Johnson Smith of Homer, LA; one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Beverly Smith of Atlanta, TX; two sister: and one brother-in-law: Florence and George Burroughs of Monroe, LA; and Eunice Jones of Winnsboro, LA; one brother and sister-in-law: Cecil and Helen Smith of Rayville, LA; one granddaughter: Stacy Smith of Dallas, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Jackie Boyett, Terry Johnson, Arvil Johnson, Nathan Johnson, and Hershel Johnson. # # #
