On Jan 21, 1931, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Beck , Sister Julia Frances Wise passed to her reward. She was born near El Dorado, Ark in 1850, and moved with her father, Gordon Brazzell to Lincoln Parish , Louisiana were she was married to C. H. Wise at the age of 19. She was left a widow in 1884 with 10 children--- Rev J.L. Wise. deceased, greatly beloved Baptist minister, for years missionary to the Canal Zone at Panama City pastor at New Orleans, died pastor of Mooringsport church. Mrs. T.E. Covington of Bernice, who preceded her mother to her heavenly home several years ago. Those surviving are: W.H. Wise, Natchitoches; J.W. Wise Rockwood, Texas; C.O. Wise { should be Mrs. C.O. Wise} Swearingen,Texas; J. H. Wise, Dubach, La. Mrs J. Beck , Vienna, La . ; Ivan H. Wise Bienville, La. ; Dr. O.L. Wise , Forest, La. Mrs. C. W. Boydsten { should be Boydstun} Natchitoches, La. She also left 44 grandchildren , 28 great grand children to await their call of the Master. May each of them remember her example and loyality to the Master's work to join her in the ream of peace and joy. She joined the Sharon Baptist church and was baptized by Rev. D.L. Hicks in 1871. It is said of her that her home was the home of preachers and that she was faithful in her attendance of church services and her religious duties. She was a indulgent mother and good to her neighbors. Her body was laid to rest by loving hands to await the resurrection morning when we shall know Him as He is and give Him all the praise throughout eternity. By M. A.
