F. Ford After the notice of the illness of Mrs. J. F. Ford appearing elsewhere was written we learned of her death which occurred early Monday morning at her home near Lisbon. The deceased had passed her three score and ten years, and had been in failing health for several months. But until her own infirmities prevented, she faithfully administered to the needs of her aged husband who has been sorely stricken for several years. Mrs. Ford came from a prominent and well known family, who were among the early settlers of this parish. She was a devout Christian, and had a child like faith in her God. Like Timothy, she knew the scripturs (sic) from her youth, and was one of the most orderly members of the Baptist church we ever knew. Truly a mother in Israel has fallen.
