DIED - At the residence of her son, S.R. Jarrell, near Colquitt, Claiborne parish, La., Mrs. EUNICE JARRELL, daughter of Josiah and Susan Calaway, Nov. 22, 1880, aged 73 years, 4 months and 16 days. The deceased was born in Wilkes county, Ga., July 6, 1807. In her seventeenth year she was married to Willis M. Jarrell, who, a few years afterward, entered upon the Ministry of the Gospel of Christ in the Baptist Church, and there remained and labored until his death, 1862. Early in life she professed faith in Jesus and joined the church with her husband, and lived as a consistent member of the same until death. Her life was, in common with most women whose husbands are called to preach the unsearchable riches of the Gospel, a life of toil and self-sacrifice for the good of others. The last twelve years of her life were spent amongst her children. She came to this parish in 1873, and remained here until her death. She leaves 8 children,, 5 sons and 3 daughters to mourn her absence, besides a great number of friends wherever she has lived to whom she was familiarly known as Grand-ma. M.C.J. Colquitt, La., Nov. 26, 1880 Additional Comments: Eunice C. Jarrell is buried at Colquitt Cemetery in Colquitt, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana.
