Mr. Heil claims that the negro entered the store and provoked a difficulty with him and then assaulted him. He seized a Winchester rifle that was behind the counter and shot the negro through the head, killing him instantly. Heil surrendered himself and is in the parish jail at Vidalia. – Picayune. # # #
