ORVALLE JACKSON 'JACK' BURKS

   Services for Orvalle Jackson "Jack" Burks, 85, of Pollock were held
Sunday, February 7, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
   The Rev. Bryan Gore officiated.
   Burial followed at Big Creek Baptist Church near Pollock under the
direction of Young's.
   Burks died Friday, February 5, 1999 in Pineville.
   He was born June 27, 1913 in Cotton Valley, La.  He was a retired farmer
and cattleman.  He served in World War II, was an avid sportsman and was of
the Baptist faith.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
