Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Young Carraway, 89, of Vidalia, La. formerly
of Jonesville, were held at the Wallace Ride Baptist Church of Jonesville Tuesday
at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James O. McNair and the Rev. Gayle Dean officiating.  
Burial was in the Jena Cemetery with Young's Funeral Home in charge of services.

Mrs. Carraway was born February 5, 1886 at Enterprise.  She died Sunday at 
Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital in Natchez after a lengthy illness.

She was a member of the Vidalia Baptist Church and a charter member of the 
First Baptist Church of Jonesville.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Nellie C. Dayton, Mrs. Elizabeth Dean, and
Mrs. Doris Judice all of Vidalia; Mrs. Ethel "Bunkie" Barrilleaux of Crystal Beach,
Tx, and Mrs. Minnie C. Hickey of Orange, Tx., a son, Archie Bracey Carraway of
Natchitoches; a sister, Mrs. George Lovall of Shreveport, 17 grandchildren, 41
great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

(Note:  Minnie Emerzon Young was the child of Henry Thomas Young and 
Elizabeth Peyton Cornwell.  She married Ethal Barksdale Carraway December 17, 1905)
