FORD CALLED BY DEATH It is my unpleasant duty to chronicle the death last week of Mr. Esta Ford, age 56, who died at his home on Lake St. John last Thursday morning at 4 o'clock A. M. Mr. Ford is well known throughout this Parish and widely liked and highly esteemed in Monterey where he was a resident for many years, have moved here from the place of his birth, near Aimwell in Catahoula Parish, with his parents when he was a young man. He was a member of the Monterey Christian Church and member of the Parhams Camp No. 378 of the Woodmen of the World. Leaving here in 1927, he moved to Lake St. John where he purchased a farm and erected a nice home on it where he resided until death called him to his reward. Death came as a result of a stroke caused from high blood pressure which came almost without warning. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Edna Ford and two children Mr. Spencer Ford and Mrs. Thelma Marlow of Natchez, Miss. Also survived by five brothers and one sister: - Messrs. Galvin Ford of Houston, Texas, Claude Ford of Lismore, S. S. Ford, Edwin Ford, and Marvin Ford of Monterey, La., and Mrs. P. C. Magoun of Lismore.
