C. Gilbert of Sicily Island, died at her Baton Rouge home Monday after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 61. A memorial service was scheduled for Wednesday at the Jefferson United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Fulmer-Gilbert retired from a career as an analyst for the Louisiana Legislature in 1994. She served in numerous capacities with the Legislature from 1973 until her retirement. She served on the board of the Tiger Athletic Foundation and was a member of Emily's List and the Louisiana Student Financial Assistance Commission. She was involved in establishing the court appointed special services advocate program and the Family in Need of Serves Program in Catahoula and Concordia. Mrs. Fulmer-Gilbert was active with the Council for Child Abuse and the Battered Women's Council. Survivors omitted for privacy protection
