GRIGGS, SYLVESTER JR

     Services for Sylvester Griggs Jr., 51, of Rome, NY will be held Thursday,
July 15, 1999 at 11 a.m. at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday.
     The Rev. Johnny Hollins will officiate.
     Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14 from 3 until 9 p.m. at West
Funeral Home and Thurday, July 15 from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.
     Burial will follow at National Cemetery in Natchez.
     Griggs died Wednesday, July 7, 1999.
     He was born April 27, 1948 in Elkhorn to Sylvester Griggs Sr. and Virginia
Fletcher Griggs.
     He was a machinist with Revere Copper.
