CHARLES JACKSON "JACK" HARTMAN

   Services for Charles Jackson "Jack" Hartman, 74, of Natchez were held Saturday,
November 27, 1999 at 1 p.m. at Parkway Baptist Church under the direction of Laird
Funeral Home.
   The Rev. Bart Walker officiated.
   Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven, Miss. under the direction
of Laird.
   Hartman died Friday, November 26, 1999 at Natchez Community Hospital due to 
heart failure.
   He was born October 15, 1925 in Brookhaven Miss. to the late Oscar Hiram and 
Marie Jackson Hartman.  He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, the American
Legion and the National Football Hall of Fame.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of 
World War II having served in Africa, France and the South Pacific.
