ROOSEVELT HARRIS

   Services for Roosevelt Harris, 94, of Ferriday were held Tuesday, November
30, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Concordia Funeral Home under the direction of Concordia.
   The Rev. Johnny Hollins officiated.
   Burial followed at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia.
   Harris died Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at Riverland Medical Center.
   He was born October 25, 1905 in Chicago, Ill. to Rub and Gladys Harris.  He
was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a member of New Morning Star
Baptist Church.
   He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Jack and James Harris and
two sisters, Willie M. and Lois Harris.
