JOHNSON, CARROLL JR.

   Services for Carroll Johnson Jr., 77, of Gretna, La., formerly of Water-
proof were held Friday, April 17, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at Concordia Funeral
Home Chapel in Ferriday.
   The Rev. Tyrone Robinson officiated.
   Burial followed at National Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of
Concordia.
   He died April 14 at Stonebridge Nursing Home in Gretna.
   Johnson was born September 4, 1920 in Waterproof.  He was a retired farmer
and served in the U.S. Army during World War II from March 1, 1943 to June
4, 1946.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Alberta Johnson and 
two sisters.
