The Rev. Huey Bradford officiated. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rhinehart under direction of Comer. Bradford died Sunday, October 21 at his residence. He was born May 22, 1922 in Pinegrove, LA to James William and Stella Adeline Wallis Bradford. He was a life long resident of Catahoula and Concordia Parishes. He was an Army paratrooper in World War II and construction superintendent for Babcock and Wilcox. He was also a member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church in French Fork, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Spencer "Pete" Bradford, Clyde Bradford, Arthur Bradford, Ben Bradford, Alfred Oliver Bradford, Lonnie Bradford and Leon Bradford and one sister Lena Johnson. Survivors include five sons, Louis Arnold "Brad" Bradford and his wife Elizabeth, Lake St. John and Shamong, NJ; Randolph "Randy" Bradford and his wife Mildred, Little Rock, AR; Larry Bradford, Baton Rouge; Terry Wallis and his wife Linda, Monterey; Roary Dale Bradford and his wife Rosalyn, Alberta, Canada; one daughter, Dianne Woods and her husband Johnny, Baton Rouge; five sisters, Minnie Bingham, Monterey; Esther Prince, Jonesville; Margie Lee, Jena; Mary Gibson, Ferriday and Georgia Robertson, Wildsville; one brother, Huey Bradford, Ferriday; nine grand- children and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dustin Bradford, Royce Bradford, Rickie Moore, Gregg Wallis, Bruce Treadway and Lynn Landry. WALTER BROWN Services for Walter Brown, 59, of Houston, Texas and formerly of Vidalia, will be held Saturday, October 27, 2001 at Cullen Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas at 1pm under the direction of McCoy-Harrison Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert C. Jefferson will officiate. Burial will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens in Houston, Texas under direction of McCoy-Harrison. Brown died Saturday, October 20 at his residence in Houston. He was born April 20, 1942 in Vidalia to James Lyons and Rosie Brown Morgan. He was a retired fabricator for Process Fluid Control and was baptized from the St. James Baptist Church of Vidalia and was a member of Cullen Missionary Baptist Church in Houston. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Lillian Warner Brown, Houston, Texas; his mother, Rosie Brown Morgan, Vidalia; one daughter, Sharon Brown Taylor and her husband Donald, Houston; one son, Deric "Rocky" Brown and his wife Rayna, Houston; one granddaughter, Amber Dukes, Houston; two brothers, John Brown and his wife Aurelia, Wichita Falls, TX; Craig Morgan and his wife Felicia, Houston; two sisters, Willie Roth Marshall and her husband Theopolis; Shirley Taylor and her husband James all of Vidalia; his mother-in-law, Lillie Warner, Vidalia; two brothers-in-law, Ike Warner, Vidalia; John Warner and his wife Faye, Houston; two sisters- in-law, Malinda Knight and her husband James, Vidalia; Shirley Warner, Houston and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. MARIE GLIDDEN Services for Marie Glidden, 61, of Natchez will be held Thursday, October 25, 2001 at 11am at St. Mary's Basilica in Natchez under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Father Mike O'Brien will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Glidden died Tuesday, October 23 at her residence. She was born October 29, 1929 in Gorum, LA to Leal and Agnes Racheal LaCaze. She was a member of St. Mary's Basilica and Pastoral Committee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Glidden; one brother Mark Charrier and twin infant daughters. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Lindley and her husband Phil, Natchez; three sons, Mike Glidden and his wife Janey, Ferriday; Rickey Glidden and Eric Glidden and his wife Shana all of Natchez; three grandchildren; Brian Glidden, Natchez; Josh and Courtney Glidden both of Jena; three brothers, Curley Charrier, Lake Jackson, TX; Patrick Charrier, Cloutierville, LA; Malcom LaCaze, London, England and a number of nieces and nephews. RUBY SPRUILL LENTZ Graveside services for Ruby Spruill Lentz, 82, of Mabank, TX and formerly of St. Joseph were held Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. The Revs. Fulton McGraw and Chris McComb officiated. Burial followed at Legion Memorial Cemetery under direction of Comer. Mrs. Lentz died Sunday, October 21 in Kaufman, TX. She was born October 16, 1918 in Chauteau, OK to Isaac and Rhonda Black Cowan. She was homemaker and member of the West Monroe Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Willie A. Spruill. Survivors include her husband, Earl Lentz, Mabank, TX; one son, Wayne Spruill and his wife Vicki, Mabank, TX; one stepson, Billy Earl Lentz, Owensburg, SC; one step daughter, Pat Davis and her husband Hap, Ocean Springs, MS; one sister, Maedy C. Spruill, St. Joseph and one granddaughter, Alison Spruill, Austin, TX. Pallbearers were Chris Matthews, Scott McCougan, Cole Long, Keith Long, Hap Davis and Bobby Cowan. GENEVA MITCHELL Geneva Mitchell, 63, of Vidalia died Wednesday, October 24, 2001 in Vidalia. Ms. Mitchell was born December 11, 1937 in Mineola, TX to Armond and Lois MacNamee Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, Armond Mitchell, one sister, Melba Griggs and one brother, Kenneth Mitchell. Survivors include her mother, Lois MacNamee Davis, Quitman, TX; two nephews DeWayne Joplin, Seattle, WA; Lee Joplin, San Diego, CA; four nieces, Mitzi Bolyer, Ferriday; Nell Byrd, Vidalia; Debbie Hoffman and Lori Reed both of San Antonio, TX and Kathy Tyson, Vidalia.
