All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** EDWARD OSBORN LAID TO REST IN NATCHEZ Funeral services were conducted Sunday in Natchez from Foster's Funeral Parlors for Edward Howard Osborn who died in Shreveport Saturday following an illness of only a few days and a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives from the neighboring parishes attended. Employed by the Fisher Lumber Corporation in Shreveport, deceased was well know in this locality, having spent most of his life in his home at St. Joseph, where he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John N. Osborn, and five sisters, Mrs. B. F. Parker, Bertha, and Mary Frances of St. Joseph, Katie of Ferriday, Elizabeth of Red Gum and by four brothers, Watkins, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and John, Bob, and Charles Osborn of St. Joseph. Deceased was a member of the Methodist church and services were conducted by the pastor of the St. Joseph church, where the family resides. The remains reached Natchez from Shreveport over the Y. and M. V. railroad and interment was made in the family plot of the Natchez City Cemetery.
