The services were conducted by his nephew, Rev. Micky Bounds, Rev. Huey Tarpley and Rev. Alton Thompson. Burial followed at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Paul died Sunday, November 12 at the Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was born August 1, 1927 in New Era to James and Almeda Paul. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Air Force; he worked at the Paper Plant in Natchez for ten years and was a retired farmer. He was also deacon of New Era Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Evie Bounds and a brother, William Paul. Survivors include his wife, Adella Sandidge Paul, Acme; his two daughters, Joyce Paul and Peggy Saizon and her husband Floyd all of Baton rouge; one brother, Clay Paul, Monterey; two sisters Eva Moreland and Myrt Lipsey both of Monterey; two grandchildren Elizabeth Young and Paige Saizon both of Baton Rouge and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Ronnie Thompson, Bobby Joe Sandidge, Paul Lipsey, Kent Moreland, Marcus Paul and Glen Lipsey. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of New Era Baptist Church.
